Welcome to my little garden plot on the internet!

Cali Kitchen Garden is a blog about:

• creating a kitchen garden. Watch as I build work on my newest project - a French potager style with lots of California influence! Get ready for plenty of Asian and Mexican ingredients 💛

• fun outdoor living projects. I come up with all kinds of things like garden tutorials, DIY inspiration, and kid’s activities.

• fresh recipes from the garden. I love to cook and bake! I’m happy to share recipes from the garden.

I grew up gardening and cooking with my mom, who is the inspiration for this blog.

After immigrating from Thailand to the US, she had almost no access to the fruits and vegetables that she grew up with.

Growing up on a rural farm, she naturally started a garden in the US that was and continues to be the source of many of the fruits and vegetables that we eat while at my parent’s house. She is the epitome of a kitchen gardener.

Since then, I’ve started my own family… and set of gardens!

I’ve successfully grown kitchen gardens in four different California regions, since moving to this state about 10 years ago. So far that list includes the Central Coast, Central Valley, Greater Los Angeles. I currently live in the Bay Area with my family and work as a scientist. 👩🏻‍🔬
